Meet Xena
My name is Xena Allen and I graduated in May of 2022 with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from The University of Wyoming. I am a first-generation university graduate and navigated the college world alone. I managed to have my entire college paid for with scholarships, grants, and working full-time. I was a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 5 years before I earned my Bachelors Degree and became a Registered Nurse (RN). I worked throughout college in a long-term care facility, medical/surgical unit, and the ER.
My goal is to create notes, reference guides, tips, and blog articles to help future nursing students, current nursing students, and nurses. I used several resources to study in nursing school and the NCLEX. A huge problem with nursing education is the heavy focus on memorization instead of learning. A lot of nursing guides were very heavy on memory tricks instead of teaching information in a way that was clear and understandable. My goal is to fix that gap and help students.
My blog will have written guides, reviews, and ideas that I believe are important for prospective and current nursing students.
